Impact of precursor dosing on the surface passivation of AZO/AlOx stacks formed using atomic layer deposition

Aluminium-doped ZnO deposited by ALD provides transparency, conductivity, and c-Si passivation for high-efficiency solar cells, reducing the need for indium-based TCOs. Precise Zn/Al control enables passivation with J0 < 1 fA cm−2 and 740 mV iVOC.

A library of 18 optically biased spiropyran photoswitches were synthesised and evaluated using NMR and UV-vis spectroscopy. A strategy for synthesis of optically active spiropyrans and a new purification method for such compounds are also reported.
