Efficient generation of stable adducts of Si(ii) dihydride using a donor–acceptor approach

Abstract

A stable Si(II) dihydride complex, IPr·SiH2·BH3 (IPr = [(HCNDipp)2C:]; Dipp = 2,6-iPr2C6H3), was synthesized and preliminary reactivity involving this source of encapsulated silylene is reported.
