Dehydrohalogenation of primary alkyl halides in hexamethylphosphoric triamide
Abstract
Normal alkyl bromides are found to undergo ready dehydrobromination in hexamethylphosphoric triamide at 180–210°, affording unrearranged alk-1-enes in good yield.
