Eight-co-ordinate iron(III) complex: crystal structure of tetraphenylarsonium tetranitatoferrate(III)

Abstract

The tetranitratoferrate(III) anion possesses essentially dodecahedral (D_2d) symmetry and is the first example of an eight-co-ordinate iron(III) species of crystallographically established structure.
