Synthetic 2- and 4-monoacetyldeuteroporphyrin IX

Abstract

The synthesis of 2- and 4-monoacetyldeuteroporphyrin IX dimethyl ester has been achieved and as a result the structural assignments given to the two isomers obtained by acetylation of deuteroporphyrin should be revised.
