Thermochemistry of fluorine compounds. Part 5. Di-µ-oxo-bis[trifluoro-oxoiodine(VII)]

Abstract

The standard enthalpy of formation of crystalline (IF3O2)2 has been determined as –984.0 ± 18.0 kJ mol–1 based on enthalpies of reaction with excess of aqueous acidic iodide solution. The stability of (IF3O2)2 is considered in terms of this value.
