Abstract
The diastereoselelectivity of the addtion of but-2-enyltitanium compounds, (η-C5H5)2Ti(CH2CHMe)X, to aldehydes is highly dependent on the halide ligand X, and high threo-selectivity is attained when X is Br or I.
