(±)-[5-3H]Isoretronecanol (13) is incorporated specifically into rosmarinecine (5) in Senecio pleistocephalus, whereas (±)-[5-3H]trachelanthamidine (14) is an efficient precursor for retronecine (2) in Senecio isatideus.
