EPR and ENDOR studies on CO- radicals in γ-irradiated synthetic hydroxyapatites

Abstract

A γ-irradiated synthetic hydroxyapatite sample was studied by EPR and ENDOR. At room temperature the EPR spectra are composed of two species, both with axially symmetric -tensors (g=2.0061 and g//=2.0018) and attributed to CO- radicals. One of these species presents a hyperfine structure with a nuclear spin I=1/2
