First evidence for the coexistence of four-, five- and six-coordinated silicon in glasses prepared at ambient pressure

Abstract

At ambient pressure, a series of cadmium phosphosilicate glasses has been prepared in which, at certain phosphorus concentrations, the coexistence of four-, five- and six-coordinated silicon has been observed by 29Si MAS solid state NMR spectroscopy.
