Synthesis and photophysical properties of a hydrogen-bonded phthalocyanine–perylenediimideassembly

Abstract

A supramolecular phthalocyanineperylenediimide donor–acceptor array has been assembled by using a melamine/perylenediimide motif. Photoexcitation of the perylenediimide component affords transduction of singlet excited state energy to the energetically lower lying phthalocyanine.
