Abstract

Metastable phase VO₂ (B) nanorings were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of inorganic V₂O₅ sol. It was found that oriented attachment growth and a subsequent rolling mechanism are essential for the formation of VO₂ (B) nanorings under hydrothermal conditions.
