Abstract

A TiCl4-promoted domino semipinacol–Schmidt reaction of oxaspiropentane-azide provides an easy access to bridged azatricyclic ring systems, which possess the azaquaternary center, present in the immunosupressant FR901483 and platelet aggregation inhibitor daphlongeranine B.
