Mussel-inspired load bearing metal–polymer glues

Abstract

A mussel-inspired synthetic adhesive based on dopamine containing methacrylate copolymers was developed to bond polymers to metal surfaces at an adhesion strength of up to 20 MPa for bulk samples.
