Structure and improved electrochemical performance of a nanostructured layered double hydroxide–carbon nanotube composite as a novel anode material for Ni–Zn secondary batteries

Abstract

Nanostructured layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanosheets and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been successfully assembled to form a LDH–CNT composite through electrostatic interactions. This unique three-dimensional (3D) nanocomposite exhibited a relatively high capacity and excellent cycle stability when it was used as an anode material for Ni–Zn secondary cells.
