New synthesis of unsymmetrically-substituted 2,5-diarylpyrroles from homopropargyl sulfonamides†
Abstract
Unsymmetrically-substituted 2,5-diarylpyrroles were prepared by 5-endo-dig cyclization with consecutive deprotection of homopropargyl sulfonamides. Stepwise elaboration of an aldehyde allows the introduction of a variety of functional aryl moieties at the pyrrole ring.
