Dynamic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (DEIS) studies of AZ31 magnesium alloy in simulated body fluid solution
Abstract
This study investigates the passive film formation and its breakdown onto AZ31 Mg alloy in a simulated body fluid solution using dynamic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (DEIS). The change in impedance values as a function of the applied potential indicated the transformation of Mg from its passive to active state and dissolution.
