Role of pyridine in photoelectrochemical reduction of CO2 to methanol at a CuInS2 thin film electrode†
Abstract
The crystal size and composition of CuInS2, coverage of pyridine at the CuInS2 thin film photocathode and the applied bias have significant effects on methanol yield in photoelectrochemical reduction of CO2. The mass transfer resistance resulting from the pyridine adsorption layer is proposed to be the determining step.
