Comparison of heme and nonheme iron-based 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid oxidase mimics: kinetic, mechanistic and computational studies†
Abstract
Kinetic, mechanistic and computational studies of the H2O2 oxidation of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACCH) to ethylene by heme, [Fe(III) (TPP)Cl] (TPP = meso-tetraphenylporphyrin), and nonheme-type iron complex, [Fe(II)(CH3CN)(N4Py)](ClO4)2 (N4Py = N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-bis(2-pyridyl)methylamine), are described as biomimics of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid oxidase (ACCO).
