A facile solution-based approach to a photocatalytic active branched one-dimensional TiO2 array†
Abstract
A branched one-dimensional TiO2 array with rutile nanorods growing radially around anatase nanowires was fabricated via a facile solution-based strategy. The remarkably enhanced photocatalytic activity was attributed to the abundant surface hydroxyl groups, nitrogen doping, surface sulfating, increased light harvesting, high specific surface area, and anatase/rutile phase junctions.
