Abstract
The apparent four-electron oxygen evolution catalyzed by Co3O4 nanosheets indeed proceeds via a double two-electron process, because the generated CoIII/CoIV redox couple can synchronously, quickly, and effectively oxidate the intermediate OOHads, and thus accelerate Oads2 generation.
