Abstract

The platinum complex [Pt(I^tBu′)(I^tBu)][BAr^F] is a very efficient catalyst in the synthesis of diaminoboranes through dehydrocoupling of amine-boranes and amines. Shimoi-type, η¹-BH complexes are key intermediates in the process.
