Metallic Co2P ultrathin nanowires distinguished from CoP as robust electrocatalysts for overall water-splitting†
Abstract
A rapid microwave-assisted preparation of Co2P nanowires (NWs) is reported here, comparing with the CoP NWs. The characterizations and theoretical calculations indicate that Co2P exhibits metallic properties with improved conductivity. The electrocatalytic hydrogen and oxygen evolution activities are then measured and discussed in the paper, which show the advanced efficiency of Co2P NWs for the overall water-splitting.
