Suppression of the polysulfide-shuttle behavior in Li–S batteries through the development of a facile functional group on the polypropylene separator†
Abstract
Towards suppressing the polysulfide-shuttle behavior in lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries, a facile functional group has strategically been developed on the commercial polypropylene (PP) battery separator through a sequence of hydroxylating, grafting, and hydrolyzing processes. The Li–S cells with the modified PP separator shows significantly enhanced cyclability.
