Uracile based glycosyl-nucleoside-lipids as low molecular weight organogelators†
Abstract
Herein we report new uracile based glycosyl-nucleoside-lipid (U-GNL) analogues featuring sugar moieties attached to the 5-position of uracil nucleobase via a triazole ring. Such a chemical structure, which allows maintaining the base pairing ability via H-bonding of the uracil moieties, induces the stabilization of low molecular weight organogelators (LMWOGs). The physicochemical studies revealed that the double chain U-GNL 5 stabilizes alcogel networks featuring high elastic moduli.
