General strategies for effective capture and separation of noble gases by metal–organic frameworks
Abstract
In this frontier article, we provide a brief overview of recent progress in capture and separation of noble gases by microporous metal–organic framework-based adsorbents, with an emphasis on xenon and krypton. Our discussions include separation mechanisms and strategies applied to enhance the MOF performance. Existing issues are also reviewed and potential solutions are proposed.
