Covalent attachment of a fluorescent ‘Pourbaix sensor’ onto a polymer bead for sensing in water

Abstract

A solid-bound 4-amino-1,8-naphthalimide AND logic gate, responsive to acidity and oxidisability, emits a green fluorescence immobilised on polyethyleneglycol-polystyrene (TentaGel) beads in water.
