A novel 3D Cd-based luminescent coordination polymer for selective sensing of 4-NP and NZF†
Abstract
A novel 3D luminescent coordination polymer (LCP), {[Cd3.5(μ3-OH)(TCPB)2(bimb)(H2O)3]·0.5 dioxane·0.5 H2O}n (1) (H3TCPB = 1,3,5-tris(4-carbonylphenyloxy)benzene, bimb = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benene), has been synthesized using solvothermal methods, and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. Furthermore, luminescence experiments showed that 1 can act as a sensor towards trace NACs and antibiotics in aqueous solution with high sensitivity and selectivity. Moreover, the luminescence quenching mechanisms of 1 are mainly attributed to photo-induced electron transfer (PET) and resonance energy transfer (RET) between host and guest molecules.
