Synthesis and electrical properties of single crystalline black phosphorus nanoribbons
Abstract
As a promising layered material for electronic, optical and thermoelectric applications, black phosphorus nanoribbons have attracted much attention. Herein, single crystal black phosphorus nanoribbons have been successfully grown by chemical vapor transport. The microstructure characterization results clearly reveal that the zigzag direction is the preferential growth direction of the nanoribbons. The performance of FETs shows the good electrical properties of black phosphorus. Our research provides an economical method for growing high quality BPNRs, offering more possibilities for experimental research and their applications.
