A near-infrared fluorescent phthalocyanine liquid developed through controlling intermolecular interactions†
Abstract
Novel liquid phthalocyanines 1 and 2 were synthesized, and the correlation between their molecular structure and intermolecular interactions in the solvent-free state was investigated. H-aggregates were formed in 1, and a monomeric non-aggregate state emitting in the near-infrared (NIR) spectral range was developed in 2, enabling its application in NIR-technology.
