A metal-free catalyst: sulfur-doped and sulfur nanoparticle-modified CMK-3 as an electrocatalyst for enhanced N2-fixation

Abstract

Carbon-based electrocatalysts have attracted considerable attention owing to their structural tunability and green sustainability. However, the simultaneous adjustment of active sites and suppression of HER of carbon-based catalysts still remains a challenge. Herein, CMK-3 was doped with sulfur and its surface was modified with sulfur nanoparticles by a one-pot method and used as the electrocatalyst for N2-fixation.
