Ag-doped Fe-metal–organic framework nanozymes for efficient antibacterial application

Abstract

Herein, we developed a Ag-doped Fe-based metal–organic framework nanozyme with excellent peroxidase-like activity, which catalyzes the decomposition of H2O2 to produce highly toxic hydroxyl radicals, demonstrating excellent antibacterial properties against both Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) and Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria.
