Regio- and stereoselective cobalt-catalyzed hydrosilylation of 1,3-diynes with primary and secondary silanes†
Abstract
Reported herein is a well-defined geometry-constrained tridentate NNN-cobalt complex for regio- and stereoselective hydrosilylation of 1,3-diynes. Both primary and secondary silanes were suitable silylating reagents in this catalytic protocol. A wide range of symmetrical and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes were tolerated to give diverse 1,3-enynylsilanes in moderate to excellent yields. The scale-up reaction demonstrated the practicality and efficiency of the developed strategy, as well as other further derivations of 1,3-enynylsilanes.
