Preparation of chromophore-based polymer films with enhanced lithium ion transport by an electrospinning method†
Abstract
Lithium ion batteries have been considered as the most promising clean energy component due to their large energy density, high average output voltage, and long service life. Here, PVDF/DR1 fibre membranes are obtained by an electrospinning method, whose ionic conductivity can reach as high as 56.25 mS cm−1. This is attributed to the consistent orientation of DR1 and its hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups connected at both ends of the molecule. The mechanism has been investigated by SEM, Raman spectroscopy and contact angle tests.
