Synergetic effect-triggered performance promotion of Sr3−xBaxP5N10Cl:Eu2+ phosphors†
Abstract
Nitridophosphate phosphors have become a popular material in white light-emitting diode applications. With the introduction of the hot isostatic press, a new and promising method has been opened for nitridophosphate phosphors. Here, a series of zeolitic nitridophosphate phosphors Sr2.91−xBaxP5N10Cl:0.09Eu2+ was synthesized using a hot isostatic press. The synergetic effect on cation substitution of Sr2+ and Ba2+ was explored to improve the internal quantum efficiency through morphology and charge variation analysis. Detailed thermal properties were determined using the temperature-dependent photoluminescence intensity and decay time. This research provides a different perspective to analyze nitridophosphate phosphors and develop novel luminescent materials.
