Stainless steel-initiated thiosulfonylations of unactivated alkenes under solvent-free conditions in a mixer mill

Abstract

Thiosulfonates add to unactivated alkenes under solvent-free conditions in a mixer mill made of stainless steel. The thiosulfonylation tolerates a wide range of functional groups and leads to high product yields in short reaction times.
