Self-assembly of berberine and a boron cluster for antibacterial regulation†
Abstract
Here, a supramolecular complex fabricated by the chaotropic effect between a closo-dodecaborate cluster (B12H122−) and berberine hydrochloride (BBR) for antibacterial regulation is reported. The supramolecular complex greatly changed the antibacterial efficiency of BBR, enabling the antibacterial behavior of BBR to be adjusted in a controlled manner.
