Introduction of TiO2-[bip]-NH2+ C(NO2)3− as an effective nanocatalyst for the Hantzsch reactions†
Abstract
A novel reagent represented by TiO2-[bip]-NH2+ C(NO2)3− was synthesized, and characterized by several techniques including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The prepared reagent was used as an efficient and reusable nanocatalyst in the synthesis of hexahydroquinoline and 1,8-dioxo-decahydroacridine derivatives. The products were formed in very short reaction times under solvent-free conditions with excellent yields.
