Ultrafast synthesis of NiFe electrocatalysts via a Fenton-assisted corrosion strategy for alkaline water and urea oxidation†
Abstract
A facile Fenton-assisted etching method was delicately designed to grow NiFe hydroxides on porous nickel foam. Extraordinary oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance both in alkaline water and salty electrolytes was achieved. When extended to salty urea-rich sewage, it also displayed an outstanding electrochemical activity.
