Reconstruction of the ZIF-67 structure and boosted hydrogen evolution reaction in an alkaline medium†
Abstract
This work reports the preparation and characterization of a CoPB@ZIF-67/NF heterogeneous electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution, which was found to have more active sites and improved charge transfer kinetics compared to other catalysts. The CoPB@ZIF-67/NF catalyst showed outstanding catalytic performance, with a low overpotential of 10 mA cm−2 @ 9 mV and a Tafel slope of 29.21 mV dec−1 and no significant activity loss after extensive testing. These findings suggest that the CoPB@ZIF-67/NF catalyst has great potential for use in hydrogen production, contributing to the development of efficient and affordable hydrogen energy technologies. To summarize, this work highlights a promising electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution, which could have a significant impact on the development of sustainable energy technologies.
