Pd-catalyzed S-glycosylation of cysteine-containing peptides at room temperature

Abstract

This study reports the synthesis of thioglycopeptides through a Pd-catalyzed coupling of cysteine-containing peptides with iodoglycals. The scope of this reaction is demonstrated by the use of a variety of protected and unprotected peptides as well as other thiol nucleophiles including thiosugars, thioalkyls, and thiophenols. This approach offers an efficient entry to S-linked glycopeptides and oligosaccharides.
