Lanthanide hydrogels with tunable circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) via supramolecular chirality induction†
Abstract
Lanthanide-derived materials are promising candidates for efficient circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) with a high dissymmetry factor (glum). However, synthesizing chiral ligands in lanthanide-based designs remains challenging. In this context, we present a simpler, modular approach using ‘supramolecular chirality induction’ and non-covalent sensitization to create soft hydrogel materials with tunable CPL emission and a remarkably high glum of 2 × 10−2.
