Carbonohydrazonoyl dicyanide-linked indole carboxamides as a new scaffold for transmembrane H+/Cl transport

Abstract

Herein, we introduced a series of carbonohydrazonoyl dicyanide-linked indole carboxamide 1a–1c transporters. Detailed mechanistic insight into the transport manifested that superior transporter 1a facilitates the movement of Cl and H+/Cl in a non-specific manner via the carrier mode. Geometrical optimization with the [1a + Cl] complex provided an understanding of the Cl ion binding process with the receptor 1a.
