An Ir(ppy)3 encapsulated metal–organic tetrahedral cage for photocatalytic dehydrogenation cross-couplings†
Abstract
An iridium photosensitizer encapsulated metal–organic cage was constructed for photocatalytic generation of heterocycles by intramolecular C–X (O, N, S) hydrogen evolution cross-couplings under mild conditions. The host–dye–substrate co-encapsulation approach enabled imine activation via an enzymatic pathway, while achieving precise multistep electron transfer regulation.
