Photoelectron spectra and tertiary phosphine–metal complexes

Abstract

Vertical ionization potentials are shown not to be a reliable guide to the donor abilities of tertiary phosphines nor to the electronic tendencies of tertiary phosphine–platinum complexes to undergo oxidative addition reactions.
