Complexes of the podand ligand tris[3-(2-pyridyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]borate with lanthanoids and actinoids: rare examples of lcosahedral N12 coordination

Abstract

The title ligand [L1] forms 2:1 complexes [MIII(L1)2]+(M = Sm, U) in which the metal ions are in an icosahedral N12 coordination environment from the two interleaved hexadentate ligands.
