Abstract

Umpolung of ring strain by intramolecular Sn–N Lewis acid–Lewis base interaction is the key for the synthesis of thefirst organoelement oxides of the type (Ph2SiOR2SnOMO)[R = (CH2)3NMe2; M = But2Sn, But2Ge, PhB] which hold potential as precursors to tertiary metal oxides.
