Synthesis and structures of a triply-fused incomplete-cubane cluster [{(η5-C5Me5)WS3}3Cu7(MeCN)9](PF6)4 and a 2D polymer [(η5-C5Me5)WS3Cu3Cl(MeCN)(pz)]PF6 (pz = pyrazine)
Abstract
The reaction of PPh4[(η5-C5Me5)WS3] with 3 equiv. of [Cu(MeCN)4]PF6 in MeCN yielded an unusual high nuclearity W/Cu/S cluster [{(η5-C5Me5)WS3}3Cu7- (MeCN)9](PF6)4 1, which in turn gave rise to a 2D polymer [(η5-C5Me5)WS3Cu3Cl(MeCN)(pz)]PF6 2 upon treatment with pyrazine in MeCN in the presence of LiCl.
