Well-organized supramolecular self-assembly of acene diimide derivatives

Abstract

The self-assembly of two new acene diimides bearing alkyl or triethylene glycol motifs leads to the formation of a variety of nanostructures such as tubular nanofibers, donut-like, flake-like, leaf-like and other morphologies. The formed nanostructures were evaluated using UV-Vis, fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy.
