Abstract

A polymeric tube-like Er₄₈ complex has been synthesized and structurally characterized, in which two types of anions, i.e. Cl⁻ and NO₃⁻, template the formation of Er₁₈ wheels and Er₁₂ rings through hydrogen bonding, respectively.
